My practice as an artist explores the abstraction of human and animal anatomy through provocative use of color and tactile expression. I love toying with the idea of functional art, hence the current obsession with lamps. I want my art to not only be a piece on your wall, but a piece that adds to the atmosphere of the room. My experience with art fabrication, theater, and commercial construction has infused my work with an artistic process based in materiality, precision, and accuracy. I love to learn new skills and integrate them into my own work.
